The Food Operations Assistant is responsible for planning, organizing, and preparing snacks and lunches for our summer programs’ participants. The Food Operations Assistant brings creativity and curiosity for providing meals for children and youth, joining a dynamic team keen on creating memorable experiences for participants.
The Administrative Support Assistant is responsible for supporting office operations including data entry, scheduling, and communications. This is a Low Intensity Work Experience Placement for 200 hours starting October 14th, 2026. The Administrative Support Assistant provides overarching administrative support and contributes to other related administrative duties and projects as assigned.
The Volunteer and Events Assistant is responsible for assisting with the organization, preparation, and execution of events and training, mentorship, and development of volunteers. The Volunteer and Events Assistant brings creativity and enthusiasm to the volunteer services and events hosted by Little Mountain Neighbourhood House.
The Youth Programs Assistant is responsible supporting programming for children and youth ages 6-18 through focuses on a variety of areas including STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math), Pre-employment, leadership, and life skills development. This is a High Intensity Work Experience Placement for 240 hours starting November 2, 2026. The Youth Programs Assistant brings creativity and curiosity in activity design, preparation, and implementation of programming for children and youth.
Little Mountain Neighbourhood House is looking for a full-time student to assist with administrative, facility and marketing duties that support LMNHS’s mission and goals. This position is partially funded through Canada Summer Jobs program and is a full-time position for 16 weeks running from May 11th to August 28th 2026. Pay rate is $20.40/hour, 35 hours/week.

English Language Teacher: Language Enhance Employment Program (LEEP) is responsible for implementing and teaching a specialized employment focused, language curriculum to support local community members to develop the English language skills required to enhance their employment opportunities and experiences. This pilot is part of an innovative, collaborative initiative undertaken by 8 neighbourhood houses in Vancouver to provide practical English language training to those in need of accessible employment supports and English language training.
The LEEP Program resource connector role at Little Mountain Neighbourhood House Society (LMNHS) is responsible for high-quality coordination and connection of employment, literacy, and mental health related resources across various Neighbourhood Houses in Vancouver for the participants of LEEP (language enhanced employment program). This includes outreach and coordination of employment related resources located in Vancouver. Outreach and coordination of resources related to mental health, as it connects to precarious employment and job search journeys of LEEP participants.
The literacy facilitator role consists of coordinating literacy (language skills and beyond) sessions for LEEP participants who require additional assistance outside of the allocated language sessions as well as overseeing the literacy sessions. Additionally, outreach for and training literacy volunteers and participating in literacy facilitation workshops (via Decoda) is a key aspect of this role.
