Building A Strong Community
Together
Our new house will allow us to expand social, educational, cultural, and recreational programs that strengthen neighbourhood life. Guided by our core values, we are building a home that supports learning, belonging, and connection for everyone in our neighbourhood.
After years of planning and anticipation, Little Mountain Neighbourhood House is proud to share that our new home is becoming a reality. Construction began in early 2025, and we are thrilled to open our doors in 2026!Â
Our new location will span two floors of a vibrant six-story community building. The upper floors will offer 48 affordable housing units, create a powerful model of connection and belonging, where community services and housing come together under one roof.Â
A Growing Home for Growing Needs
This move will allow us to significantly expand our services and deepen our impact. Our new space will include:Â
- 89 licensed childcare spaces, including Infant, Toddler, 3–5 years, and a PT 3-5/Out of School room; all with outdoor play areas designed for learning and development. (Registration will open in the coming months)
- A fully licensed community kitchenÂ
- Licensed childminding rooms and family resource areasÂ
- Programs for newcomer settlement, older adults, children and youth, mental health support, community and food hubÂ
- Rental spaces for community membersÂ
and much moreÂ
With this new facility, we will be able to serve more people, offer more programs, and build a stronger future for our current and future diverse community.Â
