We’re Moving into Our New Home 🏠

Building A Strong Community
Together
Our new house will allow us to expand social, educational, cultural, and recreational programs that strengthen neighbourhood life. Guided by our core values, we are building a home that supports learning, belonging, and connection for everyone in our neighbourhood.
After years of planning and anticipation, Little Mountain Neighbourhood House is proud to share that our new home is becoming a reality. Construction began in early 2025, and we are expecting to open our doors in September 2026! 🎉
Our new location will span two floors of a vibrant six-story community building. The upper floors will offer 48 affordable housing units, create a powerful model of connection and belonging, where community services and housing come together under one roof.
A Growing Home for Growing Needs
This move will allow us to significantly expand our services and deepen our impact. Our new space will include:
- 89 licensed childcare spaces, including Infant, Toddler, 3–5 years, and a PT 3-5/Out of School room; all with outdoor play areas designed for learning and development. (Registration will open in the coming months)
- A fully licensed community kitchen
- Licensed childminding rooms and family resource areas
- Programs for newcomer settlement, older adults, children and youth, mental health support, community and food hub
- Rental spaces for community members
and much more
With this new facility, we will be able to serve more people, offer more programs, and build a stronger future for our current and future diverse community.

Frequently Asked Questions
The new neighbourhood house is planned to open September 2026. This timeline depends on final permits and licensing approvals. We will share exact opening dates on this webpage and through our social media channels as they become available.
Plans for a new neighbourhood house have been underway for decades. Following the fire at our previous location at 3981 Main Street, we temporarily relocated to 1193 Kingsway. While this space has allowed us to continue our work, it no longer meets the growing needs of our community. The new facility is designed to accommodate more programs, serve more participants, and respond to a wider range of community needs.
The new neighbourhood house will be located at 157 E 36th Avenue, with an attached childcare facility.
The mixed housing units at this location are managed by SUCCESS. For more information, please reach out to SUCCESS
