Language Instruction (LINC)

The Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) Program provides free basic French and English language courses to adult permanent residents. Launched in 1992, the program helps newcomers integrate into Canada and their communities.

Language Assessment: Clients are assessed — using the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) framework for English — in order to determine their level of language proficiency.
