Building Community through Food
Come cook and bake with us at our free Community Kitchens! You can learn new recipes and share your favourite recipe. To register, call Quynh Mac, Food Security Facilitator, at 604.879.7104 ext.315.
•    Mondays: 4:00-7:00pm, Sept 13th & 27th, Oct 25th, Nov 8th & 22nd @ LMNH

Building Community through Yoga for Women  
Meet other newcomer and immigrant women, create and share this fun, healing and meditating space with us! To register, call Maria Jose, Multicultural Settlement Worker, at 604.879.7104 ext.314.
•    Mondays: 4:30-5:45pm, Oct 4th, Nov 1st & 29th, Dec 13th @ LMNH
•    $5 per class (subsidies available)

Kids in the Kitchen (For kids 8-12yrs old)
Having Fun while learning food skills: baking, cooking, and creating a menu! To register, call Quynh Mac, Food Security Facilitator, at 604.879.7104 ext.315.
•    Sept 14th- Nov 2nd: Tuesdays 4:15-5:30pm (8 sessions) @ LMNH
•    $12 to cover food and supplies for all 8 weeks (subsidies available)

Parenting Workshops
1. Understanding Anger: Ours and Theirs (For parents) *
Parents will learn new techniques to manage both their own anger and their children’s.
•    Oct 18th & Oct 25th: Mondays 6:30pm-8:30pm @ LMNH
•    $2 per workshop (subsidies available)

2. How to Manage Your Stress and Your Children’s Stress (For parents)*
Parents will develop effective techniques to manage their stress and that of their children’s.  
•    Nov 12th & Nov 19th: Fridays 10am-12pm @ LMNH
•    $2 per workshop (subsidies available)

3. Mindful Parenting Group (For immigrant parents)
Immigrant parents will learn to develop peace & calm within, reduce stress and interact with their children more effectively. For more information, call Margot at 604.709.6501 ext.3.
•    Oct 13th- Dec 1st: Wednesdays 12:30-2:30pm (8 sessions) @ Mackenzie Elementary (960 E39th Ave)

Saturday Family Drop-Ins *(For parents/caregivers & their children under 6)  @ LMNH will resume on Sept 18th.

Workshops on Health, Social support and Legal Advice (For seniors) **
Speakers will provide valuable information on many topics including health, social support and financial benefits.
•    Brain Exercises   Tuesday 1:30-2:30pm, Sept 14th
•    Fall Prevention    Thursday 1:30-2:30pm, Sept 23rd

Mid-Autumn Celebration **
You are invited to our Potluck Dinner to celebrate the traditional Chinese festival! Please bring food to share with others.
