Showing the true meaning of Christmas!
Cordie Elliott shares the spirit of Christmas. Cordie a 16 year girl wanted to give back to the community in a big way. She heard that the Child Care Department (LMOSC & CDC) at LMNHS had two families in need and she wanted to help. At LMOSC we had a family of 5 being raised by the grandparents, and at CDC we had a single mother of 9 all needing help in order to make this Christmas special. Cordie organized with her family to purchase and wrap presents for each member in both of these families. The families were happy and grateful for her generosity. Both CDC and LMOSC’s staff were touched and impressed that someone of the age of 16 wanted to help their families out. Geraldine Clevette Child Care Manager at LMNHS says “Cordie has shown not only these families, LMNHS staff, but the rest of the community the true meaning of Christmas. I am very impressed that she took on such a big task. She amplifies Christmas spirit!”
